Furmath’s Theorem: math is creative.
A daily number puzzle. One row of digits, in a fixed order — your job is to make both sides of an equals sign come out the same.
You get them in that order and you use every one. All you choose is what goes between them.
Put it anywhere. Both sides have to land on the same number — exactly, no rounding.
Every row hides several. Finding one is the start of the puzzle, not the end of it.
Play four, five or six digits, and decide whether the harder operators are in play. Nothing grades you for choosing — the board you pick is the board you finish.
Two digits side by side can also be pushed together into one bigger number. Once they are, a root or a factorial covers all of it.
You don’t have to find them all. Find enough and the day is a Furmathlete.
